Founded in 1984, Divox AG/Ltd led off in 1991 with the vision to promote emerging chamber music artists by releasing recordings and to contribute at the same time to the enlargement of unknown chamber music repertory, especially through new paths, e.g. regions. A part of the concept is that the Music and the chosen room should be a particularly good match, in order to achieve warm and ‘convincing’ acoustic results.
Today the company runs three main labels:
- Divox Antiqua is dedicated to ancient music on period instruments
- Divox Excellence presents chamber music, classic to contemporary
- Divox Rainbow releases great repertoire in elegant Digipacks, each with a particular Pantone color and short texts about artist & works.
- With a release rhythm of 6-8 new recordings a year, every CD / SACD stands for mindfulness and exceptional qualities of the presented artist and repertoire. Since the beginning of the century, Divox has contributed strongly to the development of the three-dimensional music reproduction system «AUROPHONIE» (>> AURO-3D, formerly known as 2+2+2).
- Our goal is for every production to be perceived as a «déclaration d’amour» to specific aspects of chamber music.
